Why People Do Not Pay Attention to Social Media Privacy

Social media privacy is one of the most neglected things in a person's social media life. Social media privacy is one of those things that most people don't think about when they use the social programs. This is because a person who uses the social media system thinks about the fun and connections they can make while using the social systems. This means that privacy is an afterthought that most people don't get around to thinking about while using the social systems.

However, social systems are very dangerous. This is because the social systems are in the habit of collecting all the information that they can about a user. The users' information is used to entice advertisers to buying advertising on the social systems. However, this is an alarming amount of information about those users. The advertising companies use this information to laser target their ads so that they have a higher chance of making money.

The truth about any advertising is that if a company decides to demographically profile those people who buy from their business can make a lot of money. They can make more money with the information than if they did not use the information on the social media programs. This is because every company has a different voice and therefore, people will listen to that company and not another company because of that voice. Therefore, a company that takes the time to demographically profile their customers and clients is a company that can make more money than the competitors that do not.

The social media programs that exist do collect a lot information about the users. Therefore, an advertiser can use this information to target their ads to the specific people who are predisposed to buying their products or services. They can do this with alarming accuracy because the amount of information that the social media programs have collected about their users. This means that a person is more and more likely to buy something every time they put a post or update on the major social media platforms. This is because the advertisers can target that user with greater accuracy.

Obviously, the solution to this problem is for the user to provide as little information to the social network as possible. However, this is not a fun way to use the social media programs. But, if a person is concerned with social privacy it is the only way to use social systems responsibly. A person must realize that the social programs can and will track everything that a person says or does on their social system.

The other solution to this problem is to be mindful of what a user puts on the social system. It is important for the person to pick and choose what they will tell the social system and what they will not tell the system. This gives the system very little information about the user and keeps them away from advertisements that are specifically calculated to get the user to buy something.

In conclusion, a person should really care about what the social media systems are doing to them. A person is experiencing less and less privacy on the social media systems as they use the social media systems more and more. One of the great marketing advantages that the social systems have is that they have convinced users to give up sensitive information about themselves without really thinking about it. Therefore, a person that was mindful of what they put on the social systems is much better off than a person who is not mindful of what they put on the systems.

Boomers and the Advantages of Fish Oil

There are many advantages to fish oil for everyone but especially for Boomers. One of the many studies done indicates that it minimizes the effects of age-related muscle loss. Muscle loss can be combated with exercise but as we age, exercise alone won't maintain our muscles. In the study, women were tested doing twelve weeks of resistance exercise training as well as taking the supplement. Those taking the fish oil strengthened their muscles by twenty percent versus the eleven percent improvement with exercise only. Some of the reason for this is that it also contains an anti-inflammatory quality. The omega3 found in fish oil helps muscles function at a higher level.

Another study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that those given this supplement had lowered their blood pressure and improved their cardiovascular by lowering their triglycerides and regulating their heart rhythms. Omega3 can reduce the high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart problems and strokes experienced by many Boomers as they get older.

As Boomers age, Type 2 diabetes is also a threat, becoming almost epidemic. It has been discovered there is a definite link between omega3 and diabetes prevention. Taking a daily supplement of fish oil will help, along with exercise, a proper diet and weight loss.

This supplement is also suspected of being effective for inflammation, helping to alleviate depression and to improve memory and concentration. It is also believed to help reduce the risk of cancer, specially those that are hormonal such as breast cancer, and is believed to be an immune booster.

For those who have concerns about fish oil containing high levels of mercury or other contaminants, studies have shown that they are safe for use. It has been discovered that these contaminants are in the meat of the fish and not in the oil.

For those Boomers who have not exercised, eaten healthy diets, or looked after their health over the years and have slipped instead into sedentary lifestyles, it would be a let-down for them to look back at the vibrant youth they once were, who planned to conquer the world with great ideas and never thought they would ever be one of the 'old ones'.

We don't have to be! It is up to us and how we look after ourselves. We can change our lives at any time by simple lifestyle changes, by improving our diets, exercising, losing weight and including fish oil in our daily diets as many nutritionists suggest. By doing this, we are again taking charge of our own lives as we once did when we were younger. We don't have to wait and let life happen to us. We can be proactive in our health care choices and put off many of the diseases that come with aging.

I am one of the many Boomers who include fish oil in their daily diets. Taking a daily capsule, as I do, is one way but I also include other dietary foods like sardines, or foods that are omega3 enhanced such as free range eggs.

As Boomers, I believe very strongly in the importance of doing everything possible to stave off, as long as possible, any serious health problems, and adding a daily supplement of fish oil is one of the ways to hopefully do it.

Why Many SEO Marketers Are Afraid of the Penguin Update

When the Google Penguin update was first launched, everyone was seeing it as another update developed to penalize websites, just the way the Panda Update did: lowering SERP (Search Engine Results Page Rankings). Well, it has proven that the Penguin update isn't really penalizing websites, as the direct ranking is not affected.

However, before we talk on what the Penguin Update does to a website, let's first see what was and is the target of this update. As Matt Cutts, the spokesman of Google said the point of the Penguin algorithm update is to diminish over-optimization. Yes, as we can tell from his declaration, Google is still devoted to the idea of delivering the highest quality content to the reader, and also providing him with the best user experience.

So, Penguin is targeting over-optimization. From this point the following question rise: How do we know when it is too much? It is important for a SEO marketer to realize to which point he can increase his website's visibility in the search engines results, but without interfering with the user experience, lowering it. The first example of over-optimization is regarding the links, to be more concise, the backlink structure of a website. Many SEO experts faulted when they used in their back linking strategy a process called keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing means placing the main keywords of a website as the anchor text for a backlink. This technique can induce in error the visitor, making him to click links and not finding the information he wanted, but also this will create problems when reading content, if the backlink is situated inside an article.

Should SEO marketers be afraid of the penguin update? The answer is yes, as long as in their backlink building strategies are using such techniques as anchor text keyword stuffing. In order to preserve your site from losing some vital backlinks, it is important to make them look like links, and not words from the text. Some experienced SEO experts suggest that we should use generic terms when creating the anchor text of a link, making the reader understand exactly what website he is heading for. As an example, you can use the domain name of that certain website, or, if the link is placed inside an article (advertorial), you should explain the user using the context, where is he heading towards and what will he find there.

As long as you follow those safe techniques, there is no point in being afraid of the Penguin Update, or any other update that Google will release to its algorithm.

Favorite Desserts For A Diabetic Husband

It's easier than you think to create delicious desserts for your diabetic husband. When I had to get right down to it the ideas came flying at me out of my kitchen cupboard!

Here's a few of his favorites:

Easy Orange/Banana Parfait

1 pkge Lite Orange Jello (no sugar) 2 cups vanilla yogurt (fat free, no sugar but artificially sweetened) 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 tsp Splenda 1 banana 1/8 cup Lite cream cheese Makes 4 servings

Prepare the jello per the package directions. When it is partially set, slice and drop your banana pieces into the jello and mix gently so the banana pieces are covered by the jelly. Leave to set firm in the refrigerator.

Beat the remaining ingredients well together and set aside in the fridge.

Just before dinner put your dessert together. I use parfait glasses, they add to the fun and look of the dessert.

Drop a dollop of yogurt mixture into the bottom of each of 4 dishes and a scoop of the jello and then the yogurt mix again and so on to the top.

I have tried different flavors and different fruit, but, hubby likes the orange banana the best.

Faux Apple Crisp

3 large apples (jona golds are the best, in my opinion) Cinammon Sprouted wheat bread (I use Ezechial cinammon raisin from the health food store - 2 slices, they are small) 9" square casserole dish Makes 4 servings

Preheat oven to 375F. Spray your casserole dish with a non stick spray.

Peel, core, and slice your apples thinly into your baking dish. Sprinkle with cinammon (as much or as little as to your taste).

I take my bread from the freezer and grind it into crumbs in the blender. Now sprinkle evenly over your apples. Take a spoon and dish down here and there through the apples, so that some of the crumbs fall between the apples.

Bake uncovered in your oven 40 mins. or until your apples are cooked tender.

Cool and serve with flavored yogurt, artificially sweetened.

You can swap out the apples for blueberries, fresh or frozen. Just coat the berries first with 2 tsp flour.

It's not been as hard an adjustment as we thought it would be and we are both eating healthier than before, that has been a bonus for us both.

TB Joshua and Kingson's Wife (2)

Before we examine the practices that could make a minister or a ministry fake, let's first see some of the things that have kept the ministries of TB Joshua and Chris Oyakhilome estranged from other Christians, and also make many to believe that they are fake. The first is the miracles. Most people (believers and unbelievers) do not believe that the miracles often televised by these ministries are real. They believe they are 'arranged' or the healing and testimonies are mostly unverifiable. And this lends credence to what Agomoh and Bisi (TB's former confidants) are saying - that the so-called miracles done in Joshua's synagogue are fake. Agomoh said he was part of the team that often arranged or manipulated people to confess of healing and miracles that never took place. He mentioned people who stay in the wheel chairs pretending to be disabled that would later claim they have been healed and that so many with incurable diseases like HIV, cancer, etc, whom the prophet claim heal, actually go home to die.

TB's former Ghanaian associate - Nii Ayiku Amartey also said the same thing. Listen to him, "TB Joshua came to deceive Ghanaians with manipulated miracles involving 20 Ghanaians who are all now dead. Kayode of Awakener's chapel and Michael Lathbridge were part of this great deception of Ghanaians and must tell Ghanaians of their part in this crime against the people of Ghana." Twenty Ghanaians whom Joshua claimed he healed died! Well, Nii should know better because he was an insider. But this is just a small percentage of the thousands whom we are told die after being manipulated to confess that they have been healed.

The other thing is that these ministries tend to promote their founders, their self-acclaimed spiritual powers, signs, miracles, prophecies over the person Jesus Christ and the gospel. Please, there is nothing wrong with signs and wonders so long they are genuine and done to magnify the LORD Jesus. But these ministries through their powerful and well-equipped media do everything to show how great and powerful their owners are. Bisi, the former head of TB's media team elaborated more on this. I still ask why Joshua didn't take the duo to court for defamation if they are lying, because the revelations in that video are very shocking and unbelievable. Again, sometime ago, I watched Joshua's prophecy on the Australian Air Ambulance that overshot the tarmac and landed in the sea. It was indeed a perfect material for them. They flaunted it. It was very clear that the whole thing was done to show how powerful the man is. I didn't see how God, Jesus or the Spirit of God came into the picture. It was all praise to the Great Prophet!

Now, should all these be done in a genuine Christian ministry? Who do you want to please by showing off miracles and signs? And must they be arranged and unverifiable?? What is the aim? And miracles be done with other powers? Can Satan, sorcerers, magicians also perform signs and wonders? Is miracle a sure-proof that a minister is of God? What is the original aim of God initiating the working of Miracles? But can we touch all these here? I doubt. Maybe we will start from the last.

God's original purpose of initiating miracles and signs is to show His power and sovereignty over nature and the affairs of men. Signs are to convince men that God exists and that His is in control of the universe. Signs are meant to be used to propagate the gospel. They should point or lead people to Jesus Christ and not to the preacher, prophet or pastor. Anything short of this is definitely satanic. What we see today, especially in these two ministries (and others like them) is like a showbiz or promotion of the persons. They want people to see how anointed, how powerful and great they are. Or tell me why a deliverance session should be televised to the whole world to watch? Now, compare this attitude with Jesus', who will heal people and tell them not to tell anyone. Today, they even go ahead of the person to tell the world!

Now, let me quickly add that it is not only God that does signs and wonders. Satan and his agents also do. But the word of God called theirs lying signs and wonders. Yes! Listen to 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, "This evil man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of wicked deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they refuse to believe the truth that would save them." That is the word of God! The book of Revelation said the same thing. The Devil and his agents will do very great signs, miracles, wonders, prophesies, especially in these last days, but their ultimate aim will be to deceive and divert people's attention from Jesus, holiness and the true gospel.

So just miracles, signs, charity, etc, are not enough to authenticate a ministry or a minister. Satan can also do all of those to deceive people, so says the scriptures. There are so many fake ministries and ministries in the world today and more are coming. Though, some of them did not start out as fake, but unfortunately because of the love of power, money, fame, the glory of the world and influence, they bowed to Satan and are now working for him. They still bear Christian names, act as Christian organisations with great signs, miracles, wonders, prophesies, etc, but they actually got their powers from the Devil. We will soon talk about charity and good works in the next part. I know you're itching to hear that. But how do we know the real and genuine ones?? Yes you can know. We will continue next week, God bless!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome And Depression Are Not The Same Thing!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a very misunderstood illness and this is perhaps why there are so many myths about it. Perhaps the most common myth about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is that it is effectively a mental condition, and another name for depression.

But these two conditions are very different!

And when you label a condition incorrectly it can cause no end of problems when trying to diagnose and treat it. So it's extremely important to make the distinction between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and depression - because they are completely different illnesses.

For one, depression can be a symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but there are many Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers out there who do not suffer from depression at all.

Second, research has shown that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers have an abnormality in their 'deep sleep' brainwave patterns. In contrast, depression sufferers do not have this abnormality.

In addition, depression sufferers tend to feel tired all the time, whereas Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers' exhaustion increases notably after mental or physical exertion.

There are also symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that are not shared by depression sufferers. Nasty flu-like symptoms, headaches, reversal of sleeping patterns, painful muscles and joints, Restless Legs Syndrome, and an increase in colds and viruses all are just a few symptoms that can play a part in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

These are just a few of the differences between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and depression!

Another myth about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is that all Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers need to do is to 'pull themselves together' - and they'd be cured...

... if only it were that simple!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is actually a bio-physical condition and was (finally) accepted as such by the UK government in 2001. But no cure has yet been found.

Unfortunately there are still many people out there (including some medical professionals) who still think that the condition is 'all in the sufferer's head'.

It is because of this misunderstanding that the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome community has fought so hard against Chronic Fatigue Syndrome being wrongly labelled as a mental illness. And it is perhaps because of this battle that depression amongst Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers has often sadly been overlooked...

Yet for many, depression can be a very real symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. If you suffer from depression as a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferer, then it's vital that you take it very seriously and that you try to address it as soon as possible.

If you don't deal with your depression, you are unlikely to be able to recover from any chronic illness...

...and recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is no exception.

For more about the difference between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and depression visit:

http://www.sleepydust.net/CHRONIC-FATIGUE-SYNDROME-AND-DEPRESSION.html

It is possible to recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So if you do experience depression as a symptom of your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, make it a priority to deal with it. Only that way can you get yourself on the road to recovery.
