Why People Do Not Pay Attention to Social Media Privacy

Social media privacy is one of the most neglected things in a person's social media life. Social media privacy is one of those things that most people don't think about when they use the social programs. This is because a person who uses the social media system thinks about the fun and connections they can make while using the social systems. This means that privacy is an afterthought that most people don't get around to thinking about while using the social systems.

However, social systems are very dangerous. This is because the social systems are in the habit of collecting all the information that they can about a user. The users' information is used to entice advertisers to buying advertising on the social systems. However, this is an alarming amount of information about those users. The advertising companies use this information to laser target their ads so that they have a higher chance of making money.

The truth about any advertising is that if a company decides to demographically profile those people who buy from their business can make a lot of money. They can make more money with the information than if they did not use the information on the social media programs. This is because every company has a different voice and therefore, people will listen to that company and not another company because of that voice. Therefore, a company that takes the time to demographically profile their customers and clients is a company that can make more money than the competitors that do not.

The social media programs that exist do collect a lot information about the users. Therefore, an advertiser can use this information to target their ads to the specific people who are predisposed to buying their products or services. They can do this with alarming accuracy because the amount of information that the social media programs have collected about their users. This means that a person is more and more likely to buy something every time they put a post or update on the major social media platforms. This is because the advertisers can target that user with greater accuracy.

Obviously, the solution to this problem is for the user to provide as little information to the social network as possible. However, this is not a fun way to use the social media programs. But, if a person is concerned with social privacy it is the only way to use social systems responsibly. A person must realize that the social programs can and will track everything that a person says or does on their social system.

The other solution to this problem is to be mindful of what a user puts on the social system. It is important for the person to pick and choose what they will tell the social system and what they will not tell the system. This gives the system very little information about the user and keeps them away from advertisements that are specifically calculated to get the user to buy something.

In conclusion, a person should really care about what the social media systems are doing to them. A person is experiencing less and less privacy on the social media systems as they use the social media systems more and more. One of the great marketing advantages that the social systems have is that they have convinced users to give up sensitive information about themselves without really thinking about it. Therefore, a person that was mindful of what they put on the social systems is much better off than a person who is not mindful of what they put on the systems.

Boomers and the Advantages of Fish Oil

There are many advantages to fish oil for everyone but especially for Boomers. One of the many studies done indicates that it minimizes the effects of age-related muscle loss. Muscle loss can be combated with exercise but as we age, exercise alone won't maintain our muscles. In the study, women were tested doing twelve weeks of resistance exercise training as well as taking the supplement. Those taking the fish oil strengthened their muscles by twenty percent versus the eleven percent improvement with exercise only. Some of the reason for this is that it also contains an anti-inflammatory quality. The omega3 found in fish oil helps muscles function at a higher level.

Another study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed that those given this supplement had lowered their blood pressure and improved their cardiovascular by lowering their triglycerides and regulating their heart rhythms. Omega3 can reduce the high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart problems and strokes experienced by many Boomers as they get older.

As Boomers age, Type 2 diabetes is also a threat, becoming almost epidemic. It has been discovered there is a definite link between omega3 and diabetes prevention. Taking a daily supplement of fish oil will help, along with exercise, a proper diet and weight loss.

This supplement is also suspected of being effective for inflammation, helping to alleviate depression and to improve memory and concentration. It is also believed to help reduce the risk of cancer, specially those that are hormonal such as breast cancer, and is believed to be an immune booster.

For those who have concerns about fish oil containing high levels of mercury or other contaminants, studies have shown that they are safe for use. It has been discovered that these contaminants are in the meat of the fish and not in the oil.

For those Boomers who have not exercised, eaten healthy diets, or looked after their health over the years and have slipped instead into sedentary lifestyles, it would be a let-down for them to look back at the vibrant youth they once were, who planned to conquer the world with great ideas and never thought they would ever be one of the 'old ones'.

We don't have to be! It is up to us and how we look after ourselves. We can change our lives at any time by simple lifestyle changes, by improving our diets, exercising, losing weight and including fish oil in our daily diets as many nutritionists suggest. By doing this, we are again taking charge of our own lives as we once did when we were younger. We don't have to wait and let life happen to us. We can be proactive in our health care choices and put off many of the diseases that come with aging.

I am one of the many Boomers who include fish oil in their daily diets. Taking a daily capsule, as I do, is one way but I also include other dietary foods like sardines, or foods that are omega3 enhanced such as free range eggs.

As Boomers, I believe very strongly in the importance of doing everything possible to stave off, as long as possible, any serious health problems, and adding a daily supplement of fish oil is one of the ways to hopefully do it.

Why Many SEO Marketers Are Afraid of the Penguin Update

When the Google Penguin update was first launched, everyone was seeing it as another update developed to penalize websites, just the way the Panda Update did: lowering SERP (Search Engine Results Page Rankings). Well, it has proven that the Penguin update isn't really penalizing websites, as the direct ranking is not affected.

However, before we talk on what the Penguin Update does to a website, let's first see what was and is the target of this update. As Matt Cutts, the spokesman of Google said the point of the Penguin algorithm update is to diminish over-optimization. Yes, as we can tell from his declaration, Google is still devoted to the idea of delivering the highest quality content to the reader, and also providing him with the best user experience.

So, Penguin is targeting over-optimization. From this point the following question rise: How do we know when it is too much? It is important for a SEO marketer to realize to which point he can increase his website's visibility in the search engines results, but without interfering with the user experience, lowering it. The first example of over-optimization is regarding the links, to be more concise, the backlink structure of a website. Many SEO experts faulted when they used in their back linking strategy a process called keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing means placing the main keywords of a website as the anchor text for a backlink. This technique can induce in error the visitor, making him to click links and not finding the information he wanted, but also this will create problems when reading content, if the backlink is situated inside an article.

Should SEO marketers be afraid of the penguin update? The answer is yes, as long as in their backlink building strategies are using such techniques as anchor text keyword stuffing. In order to preserve your site from losing some vital backlinks, it is important to make them look like links, and not words from the text. Some experienced SEO experts suggest that we should use generic terms when creating the anchor text of a link, making the reader understand exactly what website he is heading for. As an example, you can use the domain name of that certain website, or, if the link is placed inside an article (advertorial), you should explain the user using the context, where is he heading towards and what will he find there.

As long as you follow those safe techniques, there is no point in being afraid of the Penguin Update, or any other update that Google will release to its algorithm.

Favorite Desserts For A Diabetic Husband

It's easier than you think to create delicious desserts for your diabetic husband. When I had to get right down to it the ideas came flying at me out of my kitchen cupboard!

Here's a few of his favorites:

Easy Orange/Banana Parfait

1 pkge Lite Orange Jello (no sugar) 2 cups vanilla yogurt (fat free, no sugar but artificially sweetened) 1/2 tsp vanilla 2 tsp Splenda 1 banana 1/8 cup Lite cream cheese Makes 4 servings

Prepare the jello per the package directions. When it is partially set, slice and drop your banana pieces into the jello and mix gently so the banana pieces are covered by the jelly. Leave to set firm in the refrigerator.

Beat the remaining ingredients well together and set aside in the fridge.

Just before dinner put your dessert together. I use parfait glasses, they add to the fun and look of the dessert.

Drop a dollop of yogurt mixture into the bottom of each of 4 dishes and a scoop of the jello and then the yogurt mix again and so on to the top.

I have tried different flavors and different fruit, but, hubby likes the orange banana the best.

Faux Apple Crisp

3 large apples (jona golds are the best, in my opinion) Cinammon Sprouted wheat bread (I use Ezechial cinammon raisin from the health food store - 2 slices, they are small) 9" square casserole dish Makes 4 servings

Preheat oven to 375F. Spray your casserole dish with a non stick spray.

Peel, core, and slice your apples thinly into your baking dish. Sprinkle with cinammon (as much or as little as to your taste).

I take my bread from the freezer and grind it into crumbs in the blender. Now sprinkle evenly over your apples. Take a spoon and dish down here and there through the apples, so that some of the crumbs fall between the apples.

Bake uncovered in your oven 40 mins. or until your apples are cooked tender.

Cool and serve with flavored yogurt, artificially sweetened.

You can swap out the apples for blueberries, fresh or frozen. Just coat the berries first with 2 tsp flour.

It's not been as hard an adjustment as we thought it would be and we are both eating healthier than before, that has been a bonus for us both.

TB Joshua and Kingson's Wife (2)

Before we examine the practices that could make a minister or a ministry fake, let's first see some of the things that have kept the ministries of TB Joshua and Chris Oyakhilome estranged from other Christians, and also make many to believe that they are fake. The first is the miracles. Most people (believers and unbelievers) do not believe that the miracles often televised by these ministries are real. They believe they are 'arranged' or the healing and testimonies are mostly unverifiable. And this lends credence to what Agomoh and Bisi (TB's former confidants) are saying - that the so-called miracles done in Joshua's synagogue are fake. Agomoh said he was part of the team that often arranged or manipulated people to confess of healing and miracles that never took place. He mentioned people who stay in the wheel chairs pretending to be disabled that would later claim they have been healed and that so many with incurable diseases like HIV, cancer, etc, whom the prophet claim heal, actually go home to die.

TB's former Ghanaian associate - Nii Ayiku Amartey also said the same thing. Listen to him, "TB Joshua came to deceive Ghanaians with manipulated miracles involving 20 Ghanaians who are all now dead. Kayode of Awakener's chapel and Michael Lathbridge were part of this great deception of Ghanaians and must tell Ghanaians of their part in this crime against the people of Ghana." Twenty Ghanaians whom Joshua claimed he healed died! Well, Nii should know better because he was an insider. But this is just a small percentage of the thousands whom we are told die after being manipulated to confess that they have been healed.

The other thing is that these ministries tend to promote their founders, their self-acclaimed spiritual powers, signs, miracles, prophecies over the person Jesus Christ and the gospel. Please, there is nothing wrong with signs and wonders so long they are genuine and done to magnify the LORD Jesus. But these ministries through their powerful and well-equipped media do everything to show how great and powerful their owners are. Bisi, the former head of TB's media team elaborated more on this. I still ask why Joshua didn't take the duo to court for defamation if they are lying, because the revelations in that video are very shocking and unbelievable. Again, sometime ago, I watched Joshua's prophecy on the Australian Air Ambulance that overshot the tarmac and landed in the sea. It was indeed a perfect material for them. They flaunted it. It was very clear that the whole thing was done to show how powerful the man is. I didn't see how God, Jesus or the Spirit of God came into the picture. It was all praise to the Great Prophet!

Now, should all these be done in a genuine Christian ministry? Who do you want to please by showing off miracles and signs? And must they be arranged and unverifiable?? What is the aim? And miracles be done with other powers? Can Satan, sorcerers, magicians also perform signs and wonders? Is miracle a sure-proof that a minister is of God? What is the original aim of God initiating the working of Miracles? But can we touch all these here? I doubt. Maybe we will start from the last.

God's original purpose of initiating miracles and signs is to show His power and sovereignty over nature and the affairs of men. Signs are to convince men that God exists and that His is in control of the universe. Signs are meant to be used to propagate the gospel. They should point or lead people to Jesus Christ and not to the preacher, prophet or pastor. Anything short of this is definitely satanic. What we see today, especially in these two ministries (and others like them) is like a showbiz or promotion of the persons. They want people to see how anointed, how powerful and great they are. Or tell me why a deliverance session should be televised to the whole world to watch? Now, compare this attitude with Jesus', who will heal people and tell them not to tell anyone. Today, they even go ahead of the person to tell the world!

Now, let me quickly add that it is not only God that does signs and wonders. Satan and his agents also do. But the word of God called theirs lying signs and wonders. Yes! Listen to 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10, "This evil man will come to do the work of Satan with counterfeit power and signs and miracles. He will use every kind of wicked deception to fool those who are on their way to destruction because they refuse to believe the truth that would save them." That is the word of God! The book of Revelation said the same thing. The Devil and his agents will do very great signs, miracles, wonders, prophesies, especially in these last days, but their ultimate aim will be to deceive and divert people's attention from Jesus, holiness and the true gospel.

So just miracles, signs, charity, etc, are not enough to authenticate a ministry or a minister. Satan can also do all of those to deceive people, so says the scriptures. There are so many fake ministries and ministries in the world today and more are coming. Though, some of them did not start out as fake, but unfortunately because of the love of power, money, fame, the glory of the world and influence, they bowed to Satan and are now working for him. They still bear Christian names, act as Christian organisations with great signs, miracles, wonders, prophesies, etc, but they actually got their powers from the Devil. We will soon talk about charity and good works in the next part. I know you're itching to hear that. But how do we know the real and genuine ones?? Yes you can know. We will continue next week, God bless!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome And Depression Are Not The Same Thing!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a very misunderstood illness and this is perhaps why there are so many myths about it. Perhaps the most common myth about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is that it is effectively a mental condition, and another name for depression.

But these two conditions are very different!

And when you label a condition incorrectly it can cause no end of problems when trying to diagnose and treat it. So it's extremely important to make the distinction between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and depression - because they are completely different illnesses.

For one, depression can be a symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but there are many Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers out there who do not suffer from depression at all.

Second, research has shown that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers have an abnormality in their 'deep sleep' brainwave patterns. In contrast, depression sufferers do not have this abnormality.

In addition, depression sufferers tend to feel tired all the time, whereas Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers' exhaustion increases notably after mental or physical exertion.

There are also symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome that are not shared by depression sufferers. Nasty flu-like symptoms, headaches, reversal of sleeping patterns, painful muscles and joints, Restless Legs Syndrome, and an increase in colds and viruses all are just a few symptoms that can play a part in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

These are just a few of the differences between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and depression!

Another myth about Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is that all Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers need to do is to 'pull themselves together' - and they'd be cured...

... if only it were that simple!

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is actually a bio-physical condition and was (finally) accepted as such by the UK government in 2001. But no cure has yet been found.

Unfortunately there are still many people out there (including some medical professionals) who still think that the condition is 'all in the sufferer's head'.

It is because of this misunderstanding that the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome community has fought so hard against Chronic Fatigue Syndrome being wrongly labelled as a mental illness. And it is perhaps because of this battle that depression amongst Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferers has often sadly been overlooked...

Yet for many, depression can be a very real symptom of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. If you suffer from depression as a Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sufferer, then it's vital that you take it very seriously and that you try to address it as soon as possible.

If you don't deal with your depression, you are unlikely to be able to recover from any chronic illness...

...and recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is no exception.

For more about the difference between Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and depression visit:

http://www.sleepydust.net/CHRONIC-FATIGUE-SYNDROME-AND-DEPRESSION.html

It is possible to recover from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. So if you do experience depression as a symptom of your Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, make it a priority to deal with it. Only that way can you get yourself on the road to recovery.

How To Choose The Right Boat Insurance Company For You

Choosing the right company for your insurance needs doesn't have to be a challenge, as long as you have the criteria set out correctly before you start to look for the right insurer.

Below, we take a look at some of the things that you might consider before choosing an insurer to insure your boat.

Reputation - If you have an accident or your boat is damaged and your insurance company refuses to pay or takes a long time in settling, then this is not going to be in your best interests. Make sure you have a good look around for comments about the potential insurer, asking around fellow boat owners who will no doubt have experiences and opinions when it comes to which insurers are going to be the best for you.

Coverage - You need to find an insurer that offers the correct type of coverage for your boat. For example, not all firms will cover narrow boats and not all insurers will allow you to sail around the world under an insurance policy. This means that when you start to look for the right company, you need to know exactly what you want them to insure, because if you get this wrong, then you could end up with worthless insurance.

Price - Although price should never be the only factor that you take into consideration when choosing insurance, you need to make sure that you get the best possible deal for your insurance needs. The Internet has made it so much easier to get competitive quotes within a few minutes of loading your computer, so do make sure that you get a decent price for your boat insurance.

Insurance Level - As with any type of insurance, there are often different levels of cover that you can purchase, which means choosing an insurer that offers the correct level for you is critical. Make sure that they cover everything you need when it comes to value and you can also check if they offer old for new cover in case your boat is damaged enough to make it not useable.

Conditions - Just like car or motor bike cover, there will be conditions about what you can and cannot do when it comes to your insurance policy. You really need to make sure that the insurance you choose is the correct type of insurance for you and that the conditions do not limit the policy, which if you do not adhere to can often make the policy void.

Why Indexing Matters As It Relates to Social Media

Indexing is the most dangerous part of social media. The truth about the situation is that all the search engines are trying to be more socially relevant. This means that they are all trying to start their own social networks to compete, or trying to use the feeds from the systems to enhance their search results. Whatever the case may be, they are all trying to index the posts that occur on the social systems. This is bad news for anyone interested in social privacy.

Indexing means that a search engine has committed that page to memory. This means that any update that is posted on the social systems not only is on the social media system, but it is on the search engines as well. This makes any post searchable and discoverable through the search engines.

This is a problem because that would increase the amount of people that can potentially see a post. Instead of everyone on a social network being able to see a post, it becomes every one searching a search engine. This means that a person does not have privacy anymore. They can safely assume that everyone in the world will see their posts and updates.

Therefore, a person should be very careful about what they say on the social media systems because the social systems will track what they say and then the search engines (that they allow) will index those updates. This is a massive privacy loophole that most people do not know exists and may affect them in the future.

The fact is that most companies search their potential hires before hiring them. This means that they use the major search engines and they go to the major social networks to look for that person. This means that if the person does not have their social profile default to privacy, then everything that person says or does can be seen by these companies. This means that they will be judged on what is on the social media systems whether or not that is how they are when working. Therefore, a person should be very careful about what they say on the social systems because of indexing on the search engines and the history that the social network maintains about their users.

Therefore, not only are the personal friends and family of the user effected by the social posts, the ability of the person to get a job in the future is also affected by the social media habits of the user. Make no mistake about it, the social media systems will be used to make hiring and firing judgment calls because of the amount of information about a person that is available on the social networks. Therefore, a person should always be careful about what they say on the social media networks.

About Historical and Contemporary Limbu Women of Nepal

Limbu people are known as Yakthungba (refers to a Limbu male) and Yakthungma (refers to a Limbu female) in their own language. Yambechha means a male and menchhuma means a female. They are the descendents of the Kirant dynasty of ancient Nepal. The Kirant dynasty ruled Nepal from 3102 B.C. to 7th century A.D. as the first rulers in Nepal.

Historically, until 225 years ago, the Limbus had their own territory that was known as Lumbuwan before King Prithvi Narayan Shah united the territories that make up present-day Nepal. At present, this area is in the eastern part of Nepal (including Taplejung, Sankhuwasabha, Panchthar, Ilam, Dhankuta, and Tehrathum and northern parts of Jhapa, Morang and Sunsari districts). According to the 2001 Census of Nepal, the population of the Limbus is 359,371 (1.58% of Nepali population). Traditionally they have been followers of the Kirant religion that is a type of animism, a belief that both living and inanimate things, such as trees, rivers and mountains possess souls. They have their own spoken and written Limbu language. LIMBU script is known as Sirijanga script.

Historical Social Role of Limbu Women:

Traditional Limbu women wore sim (it is 7-yard long material wrapped as a skirt) with a cholo, a blouse that is made of locally hand-woven dhaka material. Phaee (a long cloth) is wrapped around the waist to tie the sim. They always covered their heads with thakhumya (a large scarf) as an accessory. They loved wearing large gold and silver ornaments. Limbu women traditionally wore a pair of Nesse (a large flat designed gold earrings), a gold mundri as a nose ring, and a dhungri, a stud nose ornament. On their hands, Limbu women wore gold or silver bangles. Silver kalli were worn as anklets. They also wore different kinds of ornaments on different occasions, ceremonies and festivals. Some of these ornaments were Phangsese (a necklace made of nine gold beads which are strung with glass beads), Labaphung (a crescent shaped gold ornament worn as a hair clip), Namloi or Yogakpa (a large silver necklace), sisiphung or nekkhophung (flower shaped gold stud earrings), reji (coin necklaces made of ancient silver coins) and Swagep (a gold ring worn on their fingers). Also in the past Limbu females used to wear Laskari in their ears, 5 or 6 similar tiny gold rings in a row. You can still see old Limbu women in the villages dressed up in this way. All the types of clothing and ornaments women wore suggest that the Limbu economy provided adequately for their needs in those days. Traditional Limbu women looked very elegant and created a unique identity in the world.

Limbu women like to dance the Ya-Lang (paddy dance) and Ke-Lang (Limbu traditional drum dance) at formal occasions like marriages and religious ceremonies. There is also a dance named Mang Lang (Dev naach-God dance) to celebrate religious occasions.

Most of the Limbus are farmers, and many men serve as Gurkha soldiers with foreign armies (e.g., British, Indian) or as security personnel in Singapore, Brunei, and Hong Kong. Women help in farming by working in the fields. They plant rice, harvest the crops and take care of the domestic animals. They also bring up children and take care of their in-laws as well.

My mom used to talk about "pewa" (Pewa is a Limbu word, it is a source of pocket money). Limbu parents were very generous towards their unmarried daughters, for they let them have own money by providing them "pewa". Some unmarried women used to own a couple of goats or pigs, so they could sell their livestock to get money to buy what they wanted.

My grandfather gave my mom a couple of orange trees, from which she could get her pocket money by selling oranges in the Dharan market. This enabled her to buy her own jewelry or whatever she needed. In those days, buying gold and silver jewelry was a type of family investment.

This article is about Limbu women. I should not forget their gourmet cuisine. Generally Limbus eat the usual Nepali meal, steamed white rice, dal (lentil soup), tarkary(curry) and aachar(a kind of salsa sauce). I would like to mention some Limbu gourmet food- kinema ko achar (fermented soya been pickle), gundruk ko achar or gundruk ko soup ( fermented mustard leaves), yangben (moss that grows on trees), etc. They also a drink a mild beverage called tongba (millet beer), consumed in particular bamboo or wooden large containers with tiny bamboo straws).

Limbu women used to be great fabric-artist entrepreneurs and very hard working. There wasn't imported thread available for weaving, therefore they used to grow cotton themselves in their fields. They used to spin thread for weaving after harvesting raw cotton and drying it in the sun. Once open a time, "chhitko sari", woven by Limbu women, was very popular among other Nepali women. They also used to weave handloom cloth called Dhaka. They would be very creative by coming up with different kinds of ethnic patterns such as tanchhokpa (star). They sold that cloth material to women and men in other communities, since imported clothing was not readily available. This type of traditional weaving has been bequeathed to their female descendents. Dhaka material is very popular now, and you can get Dhaka topis (caps), traditional pachheuras (large scarves) and Dhaka cholos (blouses). Today, ties and Dhaka kurta-suruwals (pant suit) are very popular. The traditional material is also used in interior decoration for modern contemporary houses; you can find it used for cushion covers, curtains, table runners, tablemats, etc. This material is also used in boutiques to make unusual and unique designer outfits. Definitely the credit goes to our mothers and grandmothers for passing such skills down through the generations.

Contemporary Limbu Women and Their Social Role:

Today's Limbu women generally do not dress up in traditional clothes or wear heavy jewelry. They wear all kinds of contemporary outfits such as kurta suruwal, saree and other formal and casual western outfits. Married women wear traditional Nepalese ornaments such as Tilhari with sarees and kurta suruwal. Unmarried women wear light jewelry such as a stud, hoop or dangle earrings, a pendant with a chain, gold link bracelets, a ring, and anklets with kurta suruwal and western-inspired outfits. Some married women also wear formal Indian inspired gold jewelry too, such as heavy mangal sutra necklaces and large dangly earrings.

Contemporary Limbu society, especially in urban areas, has evolved from the village society of one hundred years ago. Modern society has brought about a lot of changes. Limbu women's responsibilities usually include maintaining the home, cooking, taking care of children and in-laws, as before, but now also include helping educate their children and perhaps managing a shop or pursuing a professional career outside the home. Of course stock market investments are not common in Nepal. The Limbu women manage financial investments in land or property. There are many women whose husbands still work as Gurkha soldiers in foreign countries. Those women learn to manage their lives very efficiently by themselves.

Today, some Limbu women have established careers in every field-- in politics, media, business, professional performing arts, legal services, education, and the medical profession. Some names of Limbu women who are active in different fields are mentioned below:

Anjana Limbu (Shrestha): Movie Actress, her best-known movie is Balidaan

Anupama Subba: Actress in the famous movie "Numafung"

Bishnu Chemjong: The first Lux Nepal Star; she was chosen from 5000 other contestants for her beautiful voice.

Jina Lingden: The first Limbu woman pilot

Jayan Subba Manandhar: Choreographer and owns modeling agency called Ramp

Kala Subba: Active model, choreographer and Hits FM RJ.

Lila Subba (Shrestha): Member of Nepal's Parliament.

Pabitra Subba: An established, well known Nepali singer and actress.

Malvika Subba: Miss Nepal 2002, working with Kantipur telvision as an anchor, and event manager for the Miss Nepal pageant for 2 years.

Srijana Subba: Active member of Kirat Yakthung Chumlung and representative of the Association of Limbu Shamans from Nepal. She is working as a program officer for the NGO-FONIN.

Contemporary Limbu women are highly appreciated for their incredible achievements in a short period. Young Limbu women today, whose mothers and grandmothers may be illiterate or barely literate, may go on to college or obtain specialized training for skilled employment.

Although there are only a small number of Limbu women compared to Nepal's total population, they are actively involved in every field.

Warnings Pertaining to Buying Baby Clothing

One thing every parent has in common is they want their child to be safe. Every stage of a child's life is important, but when the child is a baby or newborn, parents tend to be extra cautious. Buying infant gift sets on wholesale is a great way for resellers to invest, subsequently leading to parents and families purchasing baby clothing at retail value. Parents need to be extra careful when receiving these gifts or when buying retail clothing for toddlers on their own because a few things need to be looked out for that parents might not know about. This article will cover two big warnings often overlooked when buying infant clothing, which include recalled and used baby clothes.

Recalled Baby Clothes

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission's website has a list of baby clothing or gear that has been recalled. Even Disney had over 6,000 Disney character sweatshirts recalled because there was lead in their zipper. What other reasons could clothing be recalled? Well, there are a number of reasons, including lead in zippers, strings that could be considered as choking hazards, or snap buttons coming off which was the case for Weeplay Kids' Carter bodysuits and one pieces.

Used Baby Clothes

For the parents who are on a budget, used baby clothing is a great way to save money. Veteran parents who are recycling their previous children's clothing should not have many problems because they know where it's coming from. Parents might be buying clothing from retailers or ads leading to reseller sites, and need to be careful doing so. Parents should have a checklist ready for whomever they are buying from. Some of the things parents should keep in mind include how thoroughly the fabric was washed before it was delivered or bought, if there are any missing pieces in the clothing, and what type of fabric it is for washing purposes. If parents are responding to ads, and the seller cannot answer any of these questions, it would be better to look somewhere else. If, however, the parents are receiving hand-me-downs from friends or family they can trust, there should be no need to ask these questions, but it might be safe to wash the clothes before using it, just in case.

Being a parent can be stressful because there are so many things to look out for. If a parent does encounter a problem with the baby clothing they received from a retailer that purchased an infant gift set on wholesale, they should immediately discontinue use of the product and contact the supplier. Usually, the store will send free replacements.

Network Marketers Traffic Generation Techniques

Article Marketing

Article Marketing is a good way to drive traffic to websites or affiliate links. This can easily be done with the use of Article Directories. Most of these directories are free to join. This allows you to create free content that will be indexed to Google or other search engines. It is important to always include your affiliate link or link to your website in it. Other ways are, a free ebook or report to gather leads or even build a list.

Forums

Using forums is a great way to advertise. There are literally hundreds of advertising forums out there. You can create your promotional signature to point to your website. It is important that you actually have something to add to the forum chats. You should have interesting points to make, no spam! Networking with other marketers and creating discussions can prove to be helpful. Staying active on these forums can give you a certain amount of juice and branding. Trying out ads in your signature is a good way to test these ads out.

Social Networking Sites

Joining social networking sites is a good way to build a personal network. The ease of meeting people through these sites are very helpful for branding. These sites make it easy for you to find people in the same industry or niche you are marketing.

Traffic Exchanges

There are many traffic exchanges online. To have a certain amount of success with traffic exchanges, you must know what you're doing. You are basically advertising to other marketers, who are into the same markets you are in. Of course that is the up side, peak someone's interest into your business opportunity. However, because of this you must be creative in your marketing.

Classified Ads

Online Classified Ads are also a good way to advertise. Some of these are free and some are not. Many people browse these classifieds, if your marketing is on point you can drive extra traffic this way.

Contest

Lets face it, free stuff attracts people. Contest or giveaways can be a good traffic generator. Depending on what you are giving away, this can draw lots of people interested into your niche. This little gem has been used by many marketers to build list. Just understand, you must give something of value or at least have it price at an irresistibly low price. This helps you gather leads in your niche, more sales!

Using these tips can generate good quality traffic for your business opportunity. If you just try one and become good at it, sometimes this will help you find more and new creative ways to get more leads.

Radio Think Tank Talk - Social Networks Warping Society, A Revaluation of Importance

Well here we are on this 24th day of October 2012, and we ought to ponder for a minute how much our society has changed in this last decade. In many regards it hasn't necessarily been for the better, and I'd like to cite the example of online social networking, as it seems to have invaded our Internet lives to a large degree, often making a mockery out of the important issues and the challenges of our time. The social networks have caused the over throw of governments, de-stabilized civilization, and changed the outcomes of elections. Our elections in the United States included.

Still, is it a net negative or have these social networks actually brought us closer together in other ways thus, it is a net positive? You see, the reality is there is always good and bad in any new technology - social networks included. Today on this program I will argue that social networks are a big problem for human societies, and if this continues in the current direction we will pay a dear price for it in the future. Currently, we are watching productivity drop as employees are too busy text messaging friends and playing on Facebook while at work to be of any real value to a company's bottom line.

The billions of hours wasted each quarter are hurting companies' profits and revenue, it also causes challenges with workflow, customer service, and mistakes. We are killing people on the road as users attempt to access their social networking sites, send tweets, or text messages while driving. Indeed, as a bicyclist, I am afraid to ride anymore - too many close calls, and it seems those text messages are more important to people than my life or even their own safety. In fact, I saw a bumper sticker the other day, it read; "Honk if you love Jesus, Text if you want to meet him," and that about sums of that problem in a nut shell doesn't it?

Indeed, I can remember when I received my first text message, I thought it was rude, as I'd sent detailed instructions and explanations to a fellow associate, and he sent me back a one-sentence email, I hadn't realized it was a text message sent from his mobile phone to my email address. I was so turned off I cancelled my deal, and called another associate. Only later did I realize that he was just texting me with his new technology - still, the shallowness of his comment was the deal breaker, so I moved on.

It amazes me sometimes the number of people who wish to state their opinions about things they know nothing about. They critique, chastise, and show their ignorance at every turn. They mistake comments made by achieved persons to mean something else because their attention span is so low. Further, any attempt to correct them is just "pearls to swine" as they don't get it or even care to understand. You see, they are so interested in notoriety and self-validation, that they work so very hard to promote the most socially responsible and politically correct argument, even if it is untrue or a white wash of reality.

One of the biggest and scariest things I've seen is how people who've done nothing in the world ever in their lives are busy trying to gain friends and figure that once they get a lot of friends on their social networking page, they have arrived. The problem is very few of those people are actually friends, and some of them are not even real. It becomes even worse as they run around complimenting people hoping to get more friends and followers, and follow others in order to hope to get a reciprocal friend, or join someone else's circle of influence. The whole thing has now become a big, fake, sick joke.

Still, these folks feel they are now something special with lots of pictures of so-called friends and followers, but to what avail? Some who have attained thousands of friends by hook or crook have worked very hard to get folks to "friend" them back by use of false praise. Indeed, they assume everyone needs pre-validation. They read one book such as "how to win friends and influence people" or take one psychology class in college and assume they can complement their way into someone else's life. What they don't understand is the really achieved people don't care what anyone else thinks, actually any sort of trite compliment is a turn-off, and it's immediately seen for what it is and what it is worth; nothing.

That is not to say that there isn't money in social networking, so these players of the game, are not worth nothing as all that data is certainly worth something, and it could be a big revenue machine in the future, so let's discuss the business model and the challenges moving forward shall we?

There was a recent interesting article in the summer of 2012 which noted that over 10% of all the Facebook accounts were fake - wow, so they don't really have a billion users as they announced in mid-October of 2012, they only have 900,000 and yes, while that is still quite a few, it also means that potentially 10% of anyone's listed online "friends" are non-existent, they are not real. Not that anyone who "friends" you on a social network is really your friend anyway - see that point. Please read Bloomberg BusinessWeek article; "The Making of a Billion" by Ashlee Vance (October, 2012).

As I am speaking, today Facebook announced its earnings for Q3 2012 and it beat the street's low-ball estimate by one-cent per share - big whoopy, skippy, but no one seems to be addressing that it only makes $.42 off each user each month in advertising - but is that advertising really pulling for those advertisers? Still Facebook must find more ways to make money and we've heard all sorts of things such as offering gambling online where it is legal in the UK, and we've heard rumors of going into the mobile tech field with their own mobile phone - that would be interesting.

Indeed, Facebook realizes how valuable all that data that they have is, who doesn't right, isn't it all about Big Data these days? There was an interesting article in the LA Times titled; "For Sale: Your Info" by David Lazarus, and I'd also recommend reading; "Facebook Gains Two Big Advertisers' Support" by Shayndi Raice, Mike Ramsey, and Sam Schechner which discussed the auto industry and the GM choice to stop advertising on Facebook because it wasn't pulling for them. On Twitter some users with an abundant number of followers have been paid to talk up a Ford Taurus, or Ford Hybrid Escape earning 10s of thousands of dollars often for only one tweet.

That sounds silly, and somewhat pathetic when you think about it, but if it works for those companies and their Hollywood Starlet of the month gets people into the Ford dealership, well what the heck, if it works; go for it, right? Facebook had was making some $3 billion a year on advertising as of the middle of 2012 (Cite: Wall Street Journal 5-2-2012 "The Big Doubt Over Facebook" by Suzanna Vranica and Shayndi Raice). Still, just last month in September of 2012 an editorial in the WSJ noted "The Facebook Deficit" as the title which also noted that California hoped that the Facebook IPO would be big and cause a $2.5 billion dollar tax revenue windfall helping to shore up the budget, well that didn't happen.

Is Facebook's stock going to collapse? Well, it might as there will be a number of insiders who are now able to sell their shares in late October and November, which could cause the shares to tumble. This could cause an implosion, or if losses subside or revenue guidance continues an upward trend maybe those shares might find a bottom and then climb back upward. No one can say, but do you remember the MySpace collapse? How about the recent Digg debacle (cite: WSJ article; "Once a Social-Media Star, Digg Sells for $500,000) by Joseph Walker and Spencer E. Ante.

Facebook does have advertising potential especially for branding and big brand names, even political ads, but even big advertisers often note that their ads do not be appearing to pull for sales, but they do help keep brand names in the face of the consumers (cite: "Big Brans Like Facebook, But They Don't Like to Pay," by Emily Steel and Geoffrey A Fowler in the WSJ published on 11-12-11). Okay so, if the ads are not pulling, why do advertisers keep playing? Simple, they need exposure and online ads are less expensive per view than per subscriber in the newspaper or on cable TV, thus they often can get a decent bang for their buck for those additional exposures.

Internet ads are outpacing those in newspapers this has been the trend and on December 20, 2010 we noted an article with a chart from eMarketer showing that "for the first time" spending Internet ads exceeded the money spent in print (cite: WSJ article "Online Ads Pull Ahead of Newspapers" by Russell Adams). Well, that seems to be a continuing trend but Facebook has some headwind, namely competition, and the reality that as it grows in user numbers, those overseas users are not worth as much to advertisers as the US users who spend more as consumers, not surprising as they have more to spend.

Facebook and other online companies are now looking to the small business market (cite: WSJ article published on 11-26-11 titled; "Facebook 'Likes' Small Business," by Sarah E. Needleman) and rightfully so, in fact the company started their push by "giving away $10 million in advertising credits. Smart move, but will it work? There are lots of eBooks, and magazine articles about how to use social networking to build your small business, and mobile is all about GPS and location based aps, and Yelp is a help to small businesses, as long as they don't try to stack the reviews with shrill type comments.

Let's not count out Google+ or LinkedIn also going after those Internet ad dollars, and realize they are just as wise when it comes to big data. Please read; "LinkedIn Pushes Ad Tools" by Ian Sheer published on 1-26-11 in the WSJ which reflects the increased competition for this business user base on the social networking scene. Of course, 18-months later LinkedIn had their passwords hacked causing a bit of user angst, but we all know there have been security breaches at Facebook and Google as well. With Facebook, some of what had occurred appeared to be "privacy setting" changes by the company which really upset users.

Of course, anyone who puts things online they don't want others to know about is taking a risk anyway. Even if the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) appears to be all over the social networks for privacy issues, there is just too much money involved in Big Data not to double dip, and really many in the sector say that's where the real money is at (cite: Facebook Looks to Cash in On User Data" by Jessica Guynn, April 17, 2011 Wall Street Journal and "Facebook Says User Data Sold to Broker by Geoffrey Fowler 11-1-2010). Obviously, this isn't new news, but how soon users forget, and all the while Facebook is building bigger and bigger data centers, aren't they all?

So who wants all this data? Well, our government, and also foreign governments, our corporations and also foreign corporations too. It's all about target marketing, and although the current artificial intelligent searching algorithms create far too many false positives to truly help targeting advertising, they aren't getting better.

Perhaps you've watched ads change and follow you around the Internet as you surf for something to buy? Ever wonder how all that works, or how those cookies end up imbedded on your computer? There was a special section in the WSJ's Weekend Journal titled; "The Web's New Gold Mine: Your Secrets" by Julia Angwin (10-1-2010) and you should read this and yes, you ought to be alarmed at what's happening with your information.

Today there are programs, software, and even options at some online social networking sites which allow the user to view all of their activity together; "Seeing All Your Social Networking in One Place," by Katherine Boehret. That's pretty neat isn't it, well, yes until you consider that the advertisers have all that data, so too do these social networking companies, and that means the good old governments of the world do too. Quick question; can you trust your government, how about a foreign government? Well, you might be surprised to learn that our Founding Fathers didn't trust any government, even the one they were creating at the time - why do you think there are so many checks and balances built in to our government structure?

Indeed, there are good reasons for the government checking on the flow of information - surely it makes sense for our intelligence agencies to watch closely the information flow, so we get pre-warnings of potential terrorist attacks around the world right? Yes, and our law enforcement here wants that ability, and we need not cite the realities of intelligence failures on 9-11. Then there are the messages which go viral, those are important, remember the 9-11-2012 riots and protests in 20-countries around over some ridiculous concocted anti-Islamic video? The video from hell more like it, really bizarre, well, you can see why tracking a viral video is important right? Please read; Technology Review article "Graphiti - Information's Social Highway - A Start-up studies the paths taken by viral messages," by Keith Urbahn in the January-February 2012 issue.

Believe me when I tell you the mathematicians and computer scientists know more about you, your social network, and your real and pretend friends online than you do. There is big money in all of this and lots of opportunities too. As I've indicated previously, much of the big data is big dumb data, but the more they learn about you, that is to say the more information online about you whether you are posting incessant personal information or not, the better they are able to track you, predict your behavior, know your friends, and sell you something, or put you on some list of questionables, which kind of goes against our basic freedoms and liberties in the US. Do you remember when the FBI used to keep a dossier on everyone it suspected of being un-American?

Peter Thiel, an expert on the topic had an interesting quote; "Most of Big Data is a fraud, because it is really dumb data," and that quote appeared in an article by Holly Finn in the Wall Street Journal on October 10, 2012 titled; "New Gumshoes Go Deep with Data" and yet, as much as that might be a reality today, don't think it will be tomorrow because there is just too much opportunity for all this in the future. In fact, I'd say that when President Obama once stated "be careful what you put on social networks," it may have been one the few times he's told the whole truth.

Matt Ridley explained this psychological phenomena of people sharing personal information in an article titled; "Internet On, Inhibitions Off: Why We Tell All" in his weekly column on February 18, 2012, which I believe addresses some of my concerns as well. Google tells us that its first rule is to; "Do No Harm" and yes, that is a catchy phrase for a very successful search engine, but who is to say that the information you post, won't be used by others to harm you? If you put all your information online, it is akin to giving confession at a Catholic Church, but not knowing who is on the other side of your personal information, as Ridley so eloquently noted, and realize he's no conspiracy theorist, he's a realist.

Then there is the awards programs, where social networking participants can post for points, or watch their influence score rise as they garner more followers (cite: WSJ article 2-8-11 titled "Wannabe Cool Kids Aim to Game the Web's Social Scorekeepers" by Jessica E. Vascellaro). I find this problematic because it has turned online participation on social networks into a sort of computer game of popularity. Further, it takes them away from the real world and puts them into a fake virtual world while changing their perception of what's important in life - which I guess in a way brings us back full-circle to the productivity issues in our society and businesses, and the reality that the next generation will be even less productive even with their computer tools, technology, and $100,000 student loan degrees. Do you see that point?

Now then, let's get back to how these social networking formats are evolving to the detriment of our society shall we? First, I'd like to point out that people of all ages have modified their life styles to meet their new addiction to these social networks. They seriously cannot be away from their tech toys or social networks for more than a few hours at a time. They go crazy, get anxious, and even throw a fit if they can't access the information or send a message out. They feel as if they are missing something if they are not constantly text messaging or communicating, even if most of the tweets are senseless, wasteful, and just dribble of zero real value.

Not long ago, I talked with an acquaintance that had joined a social network, and immediately tried to friend 100+ people without even learning anything about them. She just wanted friends, modified her picture to look like a hot blonde (maybe a glamor shot or old college photo), and she was off to the races with 100 friends instantly, none of which she actually knows, maybe one or two, but she lives on the other side of the planet from where most anyone else on the site is from. Somehow believing that this is success, or this is how to build "friends" but even after investing all that time, what's to show for it - some idle chit-chat from others attempting to do the same thing, seeking self-validation in their careers - but to what avail?

The other day, I went onto my Google+ page to see what was going on, apparently some folks who I don't know had signed up to follow-me or put me in their circles. There were some folks from very interesting backgrounds, many different places around the planet, none of which I know, nor are they my audience from what I could tell looking at their resumes or what they had on their own page. Further, although I enjoy the diversity, and it did look like the UN when looking at all their names, I don't know them and don't really care if I ever meet them.

Still, I guess if someone has themselves in other people's circles, then that's a good thing - or so they say. I ask why, why is that a good thing, and who cares, where is the value? Those who specialize in social networking marketing tell me that it is good to be an influencer because that means you can market a product or sell something. Personally, I don't sell anything, and if I did, I find it less-than-ethical to run around pretending to care, or have fake "virtual" friends you don't know trying to constantly coax them into buying something from you, voting for a particular candidate, or helping them look good on their own social networking page; why? There is no honor in that, is there?

I'd say those are all fair questions. Also, I'd say that living a pathetic life on Facebook seems rather silly, it's not even real - in essence it is; a diversion from reality, a detraction from productivity, and a waste of ability. Not to mention the fact that, if one gets too into it, they are liable to take information from a "fake person" as real, or use information from those social networking sites to make decisions and join groups whose causes are often questionable or to vote for politicians who are clearly unfit to lead just because a few political operatives had friended them. Are you starting to see what I mean yet?

Basically this whole social networking thing has tricked people, perhaps of lower level intelligence, to put information online which will be used against them either to market them a product, service, or get them to vote a certain way, or maybe rebel against a government or join a cause, all so they can be used by someone else for greed of power or money. Welcome to online social networking, and aren't all you humans so proud of yourselves now? How gullible everyone is, such low self-esteem that they just can't help themselves and so in need for every drop of kudos or praise to make them feel whole. Addicted to the popularity chase, and yet, it's all fake, everyone playing a game, which has nothing to do with anything.

Worse, many people are cheating or gaming the online system of social networking platforms, trying one-ups-manship the next person - and I wonder what happened - did they not get enough of the social clicks in high school, did they long to be popular or notable? Are they missing something in their lives? Sure they are, but I'd submit to you they are missing more if they stay and play too long in the virtual world and allow the real world to pass them by, and really you can't feel sorry for people about this, as it was their choice to spend and/or waste hours on social networks, just as the last generation became fat, dumb, and happy watching TV as couch potatoes.

In that regard these social networks are just trading in the old technology for the new. Personally, I am tired of both of them, so hopefully someone will come along soon and leap-frog the next generation of social networking tools and we can move onto something else, something worthy of the human experience, something that will solve the problems in our society and not create more. When will that time come? It's hard to say, but I will state; it is long overdue at this point.

Many people are worried about a cyber-attack taking out the internet, or worried that an online networking site will deliver them malware to their computer, or that the networking site may go offline. Personally, that might actually be what's needed to help people break their addiction to all this. It's gone on too long, and some of the largest networking sites serve very little purpose for their users, other than to waste their time, productivity, and future options while jading their view of the world, and making real inter-personal relationships nearly impossible.

My thinking is that eventually all this momentum has to end because none of it is real, that things have to come back into a reality check, and thus, these sites need to evolve into a useful tool for the users, they haven't and continue to go the wrong way, while those who own and run them are busy trying to figure out how to maximize them monetarily, and with each incremental rendition they become more of a detriment to the user. This isn't what they signed up for, of course, someone should have told them, or perhaps that voice in their head reminded them that; nothing is free. And yes, that would include these networking sites.

Well now, it appears we are back at the top of the hour and that means my talk time is up, and it's your turn to sound off and state your case. If you'd like to defend this new paradigm of internet communication of tweets, posts, and "friending" online now is your chance. If you are listening to this on the radio pick of the phone, if you are reading this as an online article, a transcript of the show, leave your comment below. Indeed, I am sure there will be quite a bit of controversy in this call-in session, but that's okay, because it's time we had a national dialogue on this topic, it's way overdue and without further ado, let's take your call;

"Caller 7, you are on the air, what do you have to state with regards to this topic?"

Effective Parent Advocacy Skills

Possessing effective parent advocacy skills is not something that comes naturally to many parents of children with special needs. However, I believe learning and refining these skills is essential for the long-term success of most children with special needs. Do not be fooled into thinking that just because you live in a "good" school district that your child is getting a quality education. Based on how the current educational system works (or doesn't work) you must be an active participant in your child's education if you want them to possess the necessary skills to function in society after they graduate from high school or age out of special education at 21.

One very important advocacy skill to constantly work on developing is building positive working relationships with your child's teacher(s) and case managers. The best way to do this is to establish regular communication with your child's service providers, to show up to IEP meetings and conferences and to share your successes and failures as home. Children with special needs really need a team that works together to make steady progress.

Another very important advocacy skill is to know and understand your parental rights, also called procedural safeguards. These rights are spelled out in The Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and each state has them listed on their department of education website. The difficulty with these rights is that they are written in legal language, which is often hard to understand and interpret. I urge you to take the time to read the packet that should be given to you when you sign consent for your child to be evaluated for special education and every year, thereafter. If you do not understand any of your rights, either ask the case manager to explain it to you or go on-line to learn what it means.

Another very important advocacy skill to possess is the ability to stay calm and cool at meetings, over the phone and through e-mail communication even when you are angry or upset. Many people do not respond well to angry people, especially when it is directed at them. Take your time to gather your thoughts and get your emotions under control before addressing issues with your child's education, IEP or the IEP process. You are much more likely to get to a resolution that will benefit your child if you keep yourself rationale and calm than if you are explosive, accusing and/or disrespectful.

Free Newsletter Templates Aren't Free

Free newsletter templates attract people online in a way similar to junk food. Online marketers, school teachers and people running clubs and organizations hunt free newsletter templates like there's no tomorrow.

But if we take a step back and consider what they are and how they work, we'll see that beneath all that free, lurks an ugly cost producing, time consuming and wasteful ogre.

Here are 5 important facts about free newsletter templates you should consider when chasing them to save time and money.

1. The Format. A template is nothing more than a collection of things, formatted, written and/or setup and then saved in some kind of file format. The file format will ultimately decide what tools are needed to use the template. If you grab a template made in html, any html compatible tool can be used to change and use it. But if you get a template in word format, pdf, photoshop or similar, you end up needing the software package that use that format. In some cases third party software may be used but normally not as good as if you had the original software. This will cost you time and money as you may have to purchase a new software and learn it to be able to use your new free templates. The final blow is that when you use a special file format and send this out to subscribers, you push the requirement of having special software onto them.

2. Your means of distribution. Some formats work better when distributed in a certain way. You have to consider this and decide if you would like to send an email (or print) your newsletter with the content directly inside your email. If not, then your newsletter will need to be sent as an attachment to your email. This increases the risk for antivirus software catching and blocking your email and some email solutions more or less refuse to let attachments pass.

3. Handling and formatting time. The more complex format you use, the more complex software is normally needed. The more complex format you use, the more details you can and most likely want to use. This will make the time you spend on formatting increase enormously. I'm not saying that formatting is of no importance but the content is what's most important so focus on that and reducing formatting time will most likely improve your reader satisfaction. Grabbing cool looking, flashy free templates often results in time losses when formatting.

4. Free is free for a reason. Often what you get will be outdated templates. Templates with strange color combinations or just templates that are so complex, no one want's them.

5. Free can be free! When you have a good grip on what you want, what format, how to distribute your newsletter and how all the tools work, you're in a much better position. Looking for free newsletter templates when you have resolved all these problems and questions will be much easier and you may just end up saving that time and money you were looking for!

The conclusion is that you should take some time and sit down. Make up a plan for your newsletter including why you want it, who your readers are, what type of content you will include, what software/format you will use and how you will distribute it. Investigate and look for answers if you have doubts and once all of this is done, go for your free newsletter templates.
